I have accepted a new teaching job for the 2008-2009 school year-junior high math! I know what you're thinking: "She must be crazy!" Possibly, quite possibly.
I will be teaching at the junior high in Leoti, so that means no more driving, no more stopping at four different places in the morning before I actually "begin" my day, no more shuffling Lane around when I am out of town, and no more IEP's!
What this also means is hall duty, lunch duty, 5,482 papers to grade, but also, a sense of belonging to one school! I am definitely looking forward to that. :)
I will have a busy summer trying to get ready for the coming school year. We start inservice on August 7 (gasp), so there really isn't much of a summer. Anyway, I'm excited and nervous so keep me in your prayers.

You are going to do a super job! I am looking forward to telling Aubrey to call you when she has math homework. She's in AP Math! Ha. Not my cup of tea ;)
Yay, Gwen! This is an exciting change (though probably a little scary). You'll do a great job!
Very exciting! Is it weird teaching in the same school that you once roamed? It will be nice to be more settled.
Hey. I saw in the Standard (dad has it sent to us) that your church is showing a video by Dutch Sheets for the National Day of Prayer. At least I think it was your church. Anyway, he is so awesome to hear speak. He wrote one of my favorite books. If you get a chance, do check him out.
i'm so excited for you! you are going to love it and be awesome at it! doesn't is sounds crazy to think about teaching math? i thought so too at the beginning, but it's great!!!
What a true asset to our kids! You will be a fantastic teacher. I'm so glad you have chosen to do this!
